I met with Harrison in 2008 at his publisher's lunch table in San Francisco. I was living in Shanghai at the time and invited Harrison to "open" chinese mind's in the educational system. He agreed to come over, but a health issue prevented him from coming to China, so he had to cancel. The conversations I had with him at the tome where down-to-earth, impactful and putting me on my current path.
My good friend Brendan said it nicely yesterday, "Harrison's spirit still opens space for us to have this reflective conversation!"
I am truely grateful for the BK lunch where i met Harrison.

Dear Arno,
have yourself and some of the many open space folks from Estonia and
especially some of the students from the Tallin University at this years
WOSonOS in Istanbul
Harrison blows through my days... as do many others of us...
And when you mentioned Mikk I see him at the WOSonOS in 2003 in SwenMark
(Sweden/Denmark) picking up a rabbit that sought shelter in the great
barn where we
gathered and tenderly returning it to its habitat...
Wishing all of us a grand day

Dear Arno,
I am glad to hear that Open Space is in the program of a university in Estonia.
Would it be possible for you to come to the WOSonOS in Istanbul and bring a few students with you? I am planning to come with some students from a Dutch university. We need young people in our talking and planning sessions. They think differently and it is about their future in the spirit of peace.
Hope to meet you in Istanbul,

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are looking forward to hosting you in Istanbul where local elections
take place in 2 days.
Yes, come and join our WOSonOS 2024 circle with your students, friends and
family!
We are getting prepared to be able to host a diverse and inclusive group of
participants in the venue (diversity in age, countries, identities,
nationality, profession, and so on). One of the reasons to hold WOSonOS
2024 in Istanbul was that there are less
barriers to access in our city (visa, flights so on).
We recognise the importance of the event and the responsibility that the
passing of Harrison Owen has placed on us.
We are already happy to see participants from various countries getting
registered. There is also some interest from
different groups in Turkey (professionals, activists, students so on)
We will keep you informed about the developments and planning to include
some of you in the preparations.
Have a wonderful week-end,
