Report back 2nd Open Space Lab
Hi friends in Open Space
Today we had our 2nd Open Space Lab on the THEME: What’s the problem with OST? What’s the problem with us?
Smooth and professional facilitation by Bhaves Patel and Christine Koehler and about 18 passionate participants.
The topics that were brought forward in this two hour Open Space were
Rooftop (Ineke) - How big or small can it get? How long can we make an OST? The experiment for our client…
The paradox of hierarchy and community: OST and the collective decision making. Inconvenience of other perspectives for people in power.
The Central Garden: It is not about the method, but about the principles. There are many doorways to the central purpose. Do not try to sell OST, but to invite to apply the principles for a purpose that cannot be addressed in another way.
Being open space ourselves as an always practice
Half way in = 10 min past the full hour: Fireplace
Honest exploration: “What am I / are we avoiding which leads to me / us doing less OST than I actually desire?”
MAGIC GARDEN : How can we make the outputs of OST more trackable, project like, rather than keep it vague

Dear Friends,
The space is open for communication, there are wonderful people around, and
more Open Space events are already being prepared.
That’s what I’m taking away from yesterday’s 2nd Open Space Lab.
And one more thing: collaboration is fun.
