Who wants to play?

Here's a little challenge that should be fun – and help with a much needed
update to the way we tell the story of open space – in pictures – at
openspaceworld.org.

Your MISSION, if you choose to accept it, is to send us your five best OS
photos that, taken together, capture something of the spirit, practice and
experience of working in open space meetings or organization.

The BOUNDARIES?  think photo haiku.  your 3-5 images need to fit into a
single message to the OSLIST, which imposes a 1000 KB maximum size on
messages.  so we're looking for pics at not more than about 200 KB.  Don't
reply to others because the quoting of their pictures will eat up the KB
capacity of your message.

And no words or captions.  Why?

The larger PURPOSE is to build a collection of 100+ images that we can
randomize at openspaceworld.org to better tell the OS story.  Anyone can
play by posting images into a message and sending them here, BUT... once
you've done that, if you also upload them to this Google Drive folder, I
will be able to easily dump them into a randomizer at OSW.

In the website, these will be displayed, mostly, as sidebar thumbnails, so
I think the small file sizes will work fine.  REMEMBER... since there's no
accompanying explanations, let's try to make each image have some obvious
link to Open Space practice and be as interesting visually as possible.
Remember, it's photo haiku, not photo koans!

Take CREDIT if you like... if you want to take credit for your photos, feel
free to paste your name/website address in the lower right or left corner
of your images.  i don't know that it's a great marketing tool, but i'm
glad to put your name in (tiny) lights (so to speak) if you want to add it
to your photos.  If you send photos and aren't already listed in the
homepage thank you block, I'm glad to add you there.

The first deadline is the end of next Monday, 2/23, in Mountain Time USA.
If we have enough posted to the Google Drive (
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12tTapeAG3tbLmPVtEBigVEzhbGx1S-7I?usp=drive_link)
by then, I'll post it all before I leave town for a short trip.

Just to give everyone plenty of time, let's just say this will run through
March, but of course it'll be over when it's over, and not.

Having never convened a haiku photo game, I leave it to you all to also let
me know what I've forgotten here.  In the meantime, go have a good look at
your collected photos!

Finally, if you all can make this look easy, maybe someone here will be
inspired to do something similar with links to favorite videos... but FOR
NOW, my hope is that we can focus on IMAGES ONLY, to make the
openspaceworld.org look right again, since our massive flickr(.com) photo
collection has spun out and gone obsolete, leaving an ugly empty sidebar.

Your photos please!

Thanks, Michael
