The Kenyan team is having trouble subscribing to the OSlist. I hope you will hear directly from some of the Kenyan team soon.

In the meantime, because we want to get the word out to you, on their behalf, I am thrilled to say that you can now register for WOSonOS https://www.wosonos2025.org/ in Kenya on November 6-8, 2025!  More below.

Please share the invitation with others who are not on this list.

Hope to see you there,
Peggy

P.S. For those interested in a safari, the site includes an “Activities” tab with suggested lodges, camps, and tour operators from our hosts.

Open Space Technology is coming home to Africa!

The annual international practitioner’s gathering, WOSonOS https://www.wosonos2025.org/ — World Open Space on Open Space — will be held at Brackenhurst Retreat Centre https://www.wosonos2025.org/portfolio about an hour from Nairobi, Kenya on November 6-8, 2025. It is an opportunity to connect with fellow practitioners, deepen our practice, and discover what is possible now.

For Harrison Owen, designer of Open Space Technology, his time in Liberia in the 1960’s was a critical influence on OST’s creation. This is the first time WOSonOS is on the African continent. It is a heart-warming tribute that would have no doubt pleased Harrison, who died in March 2024.

Shortly before Harrison passed, he sent this message  to the OS listserv:

Everything comes around in a circle

70 years ago I spent a lot of time in a small West African bush village, Balama. I learned much, and it all came back. [See this url https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YPA12cfIiQ&t=1026s.] Tears to my eyes.  This is what I did and am very proud of it.

Register https://www.wosonos2025.org/ for this opportunity to learn from each other and to continue spreading the liberating, self-organizing power of Open Space across the African continent and around the world.

Questions? Just ask.
