Dear friends,
Last night Harold Shinsato posted this message on his Facebook announcing
the passing of his wife Frances Wind Shinsato.
“Unimaginable joy for 26 years knowing and loving this woman, 25th
anniversary a few weeks ago. Unimaginable grief at losing her.”

I felt that our Open Space community would have wanted to know, caring as
deeply as they do for Harold. He who does so much for us, so often behind
the scenes, in his love and dedication for Open Space, colleagues and
friends.

Here the obituary:
https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/name/frances-shinsato-obituary?id=54892030

In this moment I know we all want to be with him in spirit and more.
Expressing how much we care for him during these difficult times. We feel
Harrison’s presence also in this expression of comfort and support.

Oh my heart is breaking - the obituary is so rich, I never had the privilege of knowing Frances Wind, but feel her through the words.

Holding you in  my heart, Harold.

with much love.

Dear Harold,

You are so tremendously giving to the open space community.  You have
invested in building countless friendships here with so many of us over so
many years, both online and in-person.

The connection you have with your wife is deep and enduring.  It was
inspirational to read.

My condolences Harold - there can be no solace in the loss of a life
partner. May your heart grieve and linger on the years you spent together
and may the love you shared continue to be a blessing.

Suzanne,

Thank you for sharing the obituary. It's hard to write here. It's hard
to receive the warmth and love, but I have felt it even without reading
everything yet. Thank you for your patience with me. I'm not all that
functional. A big part of me is gone from this physical world, and
striving to stay connected on the spiritual plane.

For those who might wish - the burial service was on the original Garden
City Funeral Home website, which is different from what Suzanne
graciously posted. The website below includes a guestbook with comments
and pictures from friends and family, including Suzanne. Thank you.

Dear friends,
Last night Harold Shinsato posted this message on his Facebook
announcing the passing of his wife Frances Wind Shinsato.
“Unimaginable joy for 26 years knowing and loving this woman, 25th
anniversary a few weeks ago. Unimaginable grief at losing her.”

I felt that our Open Space community would have wanted to know, caring
as deeply as they do for Harold. He who does so much for us, so often
behind the scenes, in his love and dedication for Open Space,
colleagues and friends.

Here the obituary:

In this moment I know we all want to be with him in spirit and more.
Expressing how much we care for him during these difficult times. We
feel Harrison’s presence also in this expression of comfort and support.

Suzanne
