Hi friends and neighbors, To apply Centola’s seven strategies, we will need *small groups, trust-first methods*, *network-aware data*, and *audiences positioned on the periphery* who can reinforce each other and bridge outward. The engine is_/team networks/_, not mass outreach. So, I’m reaching out with a simple, friendly ask. We’re starting something small and steady — the early steps of a community snowball — and we’re looking for folks who’d enjoy being part of a relaxed, trust‑first group. This isn’t a big meeting or a formal project. It’s more like a few neighbors getting together, locally or online, to see what’s possible when people who don’t usually cross paths spend a little time together. *What we’re doing right now*: We’re setting up the first two steps: *Step 1: Light connections and friendly clusters*. We’re gathering people who: * Know lots of folks lightly, even if not deeply * Sit between two circles (school + sports, church + neighborhood, online + local) * Prefer small conversations over big events * Carry trust in their corner of the community These “weak‑tie clusters” are where the snowball starts. *Step 2: Small teams of 4–7 people*. We’re forming a few small groups — local, virtual, or place‑based — where people can: * Reinforce each other * Share lived‑experience stories * Try small actions together * Build early bridges between groups These teams are the engine that helps the snowball grow. *What I’m asking today* If you’d like to be part of one of these small, friendly groups — or if you know someone who might enjoy it — just reply and let me know. We’ll set up a short chat and figure out the best fit. No pressure, no big commitments.
