After holding space for three days at our “devoted and disgruntled” event for theatre.. I’m sitting here feeling very tired and tender as I always do after a deep dive into open space.. my heart cracked open again and again..
and again..
“There are many ways to kiss the earth..” I like to do it by opening space..
Many tears today..
Dearest Harrison
I promise we will look after the gift. And as Lewis Hyde tells us: a true gift must be passed on… with no conditions…
Below.. A most treasured possession.. my most precious award and the only certificate of qualification I will ever need…
All my love to you all.. holding you all in gentle hands as we pass on our gifts.. opening space opening our hearts.
Take care of your grief everyone whether spoken or silent.. whoever.. whenever.. wherever.. whatever.. when it’s over it’s over.. when it’s not over it’s not over..
Be prepared to be surprised..
When I spoke to Harrison on zoom a few weeks ago. He was saying hello to Riddley, who he baptised twelve years earlier, in his front room just after he had married Matilda and myself in the same place.
Riddley told him he had spent his whole life in open space. In fact he had been there before that in Matilda’s tummy.. we remembered how we had put the principles on the wall as our guides for home birth when he was born in our temporary apartment in the east village.
Later..
Harrison said.. “you know I’m out the door”
I have never seen anyone so at peace with where they were.
I said “Harrison you know you’re on the way to the biggest adventure of opening space ever.. he smiled and said “I’ve had the best adventure in this life.. “
